Glass 

All toughened glass is compliant with EN12150-1 / 2 & class 1 impact tested

Laminated glass is manufactured in accordance with EN12543 1-6

Glass has 5mm radius corners as standard 

Laminated glass may not be 100% flush, panels can have a step up to 3mm as per manufacturing tolerances

Visual testing of glass panels should be carried out at a distance of 3 metres from a viewing angle which corresponds to normal use, without direct sunlight or artificial lighting 

Glass is not heat soaked unless specifically requested

External Residential + Light Commercial  (0.74 KN/m UDL)- 1230mm height (Sinking channel within floor) - 21.52mm toughened & laminated EVA

(1.5 KN/m UDL) - 1100mm height - Handrail - 19mm toughened 

 

    Testing Information

    Product testing was conducted on a concrete floor -  Deflection performance of balustrade (under load) can vary from test data if mounting to other substrates, ultimately the performance of balustrade will be determined by the strength of substrate and quality of fixing achieved -  we advise consulting a structural engineer to check suitability of substrate.

    Fixing anchors

    Floor Fixing anchors are not supplied by WPS – use appropriate anchors for mounting substrate

    System was tested into concrete using FISCHER FAZ 11 12/10 (use stainless steel anchor if fitting externally)  - see product video below:

    Typically, M12 S/S Rod (150mm deep) - secured with Resin and M12 Nuts / Washers are also used.
