Stainless steel balustrade post for glass balustrade system

This item includes:

48.3 mm diameter (2.5 mm tube thickness) stainless steel tube
Welded base plate (100 mm diameter- pre drilled for 4 x M10 fixings))
Cover Plate (105mm diameter)
4 Glass clamps - two per side - set at 90 Degree's, suitable for corner in glass balustrade system - clamps will hold 10 mm glass thickness.
End cap in post top
Available in satin or mirror polished

Floor fixing bolts not supplied - buy relevant fixings for mounting surface

Building Regulations

Our balustrade posts are tested to comply with building regulations (BS 6180:2011) to meet 0.74 KN/m UDL (residential and light commercial use) when combined with either 10 mm toughened or 11.5 mm "Toughened and laminated" glass

Testing was based on maximum post centres of 1250 mm

Stainless steel grade and surface finish

Grade 304 is recommended for indoor locations
Grade 316 has higher anti-corrosive properties, recommended for outdoor environments
Grade 316 Mirror polished (Marine Grade and Finish) is recommended for coastal / swimming pool locations - typically within 5 miles of the coast

Post Heights

Building regulations advise:

900 mm overall height - Internal residential
1100 mm overall height - External residential and all commercial use
975 mm posts will achieve 1100 mm overall height when combined with handrail bracket and 48 mm diameter handrail
