WPS Handrails take great pride in the quality of our materials and workmanship. It is absolutely our intention to exceed our customers’ expectations with all of our deliveries and installations, and we will take every precaution to ensure you have a great customer experience.

PLEASE CHECK DESIGN AND DIMENSIONS VERY CAREFULLY.

Once we have discussed your design and agreed a quotation, we normally take a deposit payment to secure your order. Once payment is received we then produce a fully dimensioned CAD drawing and send it to you for approval. PLEASE CHECK THE DESIGN AND DIMENSIONS before approving your order.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

Hardware

Stainless steel or aluminium framework will be delivered by a national courier; we will provide a delivery date and please note that goods can arrive between 8-5pm.

Glass

Glass is normally delivered directly from the glass processor; we will endeavour to deliver glass on the same day as the framework and we will provide an ‘estimated delivery slot’ the day before delivery. Due to factors out of our control, the delivery slot can be missed and in some cases deliveries can fall into the following day.

  • All our products need to be unloaded manually and in the case of glass; we are restricted to a kerbside delivery.
  • If our hauliers are unable to leave goods due to no one being present, you will incur the cost of an additional delivery charge.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR DELIVERY

When you receive a delivery of parts and glass, it is imperative that you check for damage and missing parts. We cannot accept claims for missing parts or damage 48 hours from your delivery receipt.

We take great care to ensure your balustrade products are delivered on time, in perfect condition and complete with all required components. In the event of missing, faulty or damaged components, we will replace at our cost as quickly as possible (if we are notified within 48 hours).

We cannot be liable for any third party costs relating to faulty, damaged or missing components, or for late deliveries.

SUBSTRATE

All Balustrades we supply are structurally tested to comply with BS 6180: 2011; testing is carried out on concrete bases or steel frames.

Timber base structures may be suitable for fixing to, however this is dependent on various factors including type and thickness of timber, fixing anchors used and balustrade product type.

Typically, Balustrade systems with a handrail are more suited to timber substrates, as this allows the balustrade to be secured to adjacent walls. 

It is the customer/client responsibility to ensure the strength of the substrate is adequate to secure the balustrade, we advise to speak to a qualified builder or structural engineer

FIXINGS

WPS do not supply floor or wall fixing anchor bolts on “supply only” orders, use appropriate fixings for substrate – please check with a qualified builder or structural engineer if unsure

SIGN OFF SHEET

If we are installing your new balustrade, our fitting team will ask you to check the work for approval and then endorse our ‘sign-off sheet’. Please make sure you check the installation carefully, and in particular check for any scratches on the glass. Once this sheet is signed, we will not accept requests for replacements or additional work as a result of damage unless an additional charge is agreed.
